Addressed the Culver City Council on January 9, 2006 regarding the funding to support the hiring of a local animal control officer.
Participated in official Culver City Local Animal Control Subcommittee comprised of 2 council members, government staff and FCCA members focused on establishing a local animal care program.
Created FCCA Outreach Program to meet with local organizations to share information.
Researched and lobbied for more user-friendly pet-licensing programs such as PetData to ensure that Culver City has control over pet licensing and licensing fees paid by Culver City residents.
Began development of a FCCA Humane Education Program for schools and organizations.
Hosted a booth at the Fall Festival held at Farragut Elementary School on October 28, 2006.
Involved in outreach presentations to the West Los Angeles Bird Club on June 14, 2006 and the Culver City Democratic Club on October 11, 2006.
Visited the newly developed and successful Torrance Animal Control Program on September 27, 2006 to further assist our local government in planning for a Culver City animal control officer and a local animal care program.
Supported the City Council vote to require mandatory licensing, spaying/neutering and microchipping of Culver City pets.
