Letter to the Editor

Dear Editor:

We now have an amazing local CC Animal Services Officer named Corolla Fleeger. Just knowing she is out there gives us so much peace of mind because she networks with rescue groups in and out of CC to save pets and wildlife. The goal is to save the lives of these creatures, and calling the County would be certain death for most. Also, a big thank you to the past Council for voting to use the SPCALA Humane Shelter and the pilot program to have our own officer -- and, with the founder of the dog park now on the Council (our own Jeff Cooper), we know our animals will continue to be in good hands and treated properly. Both are a huge success which in turn does the City proud. Saving and preserving the environment includes the compassionate treatment of animals and humans.
