Culver City Observer
April 29 - May 5, 2010 Letter to the Editor I am a Culver City resident and am writing today to give high praise to the extraordinary job that our Animal Control Officer, Corolla Fleeger, does for our community. Officer Fleeger is professional, personable and authoritative, yet puts one at ease. Most importantly she engenders confidence in a Culver City citizen. It is wonderful to have someone who is so responsive when we call for help. I left a message on her voicemail and heard back from her within a few minutes. This is in stark contrast to the last time I had to call animal control. At that time, Culver City did not have it's own officer. I had to call the city. I did not hear from them for four hours and they did not come out for a day and a half! It is a relief to have Officer Fleeger with us. When I met Officer Fleeger, she was very knowledgeable, reassuring and got right down to business. She was easy to talk with and very informative. She definitely cares about animals and shows by example that the safety of people goes hand in hand with the safety of the animal. Officer Fleeger helped me in a situation that I did not know how nor was I equipped to deal with. She is also an impressive multi-tasker. While with me she fielded several calls, picked up a dead animal on the way to me and an injured one on the way out, plus she took the time to answer questions and educate several passers-by on licensing their dogs in the correct city...ours. I am extremely grateful to have Officer Fleeger as our Animal Control Officer. I am proud to call Culver City my city and that we have such a fine representative in Officer Corolla Fleeger.
